Há muito que temos vontade de inaugurar aqui, neste blogue, um dos temas mais universais e inspiradores da vida e, à sua imagem, da literatura. Trata-se do AMOR e, em jeito de passatempo, iremos propor-vos a descoberta de alguns dos casais mais amorosamente famosos de todos os tempos e latitudes, reais ou ficcionais..

Mas antes do primeiro par e da respectiva pergunta, aqui fica, à laia de introdução uma velha lenda, belíssima, sobre o amor, que um dia encontrámos num jornal em inglês. Esperamos que gostes! THE STORY OF LOVE

Once upon a time, there was an island where all the attributes lived together: Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, Wealth, Haughtiness, many more and, of course, Love. One day, terrible news came to the island that the island was sinking. With the news, all the virtues, except Love, prepared to leave the island. Love was waiting until the last moment, hoping that the island could be saved. When the whole island was nearly submerged in the water, Love decided to ask for help from the others. First, she asked Wealth: “Wealth, would you accept me in your boat?” Wealth replied: “I have too much silver and gold in my boat and there is no room for you, Love!” Then Love saw a very beautiful boat, it was the boat of Haughtiness. Love asked: “Haughtiness, would you take me in your boat?” Haughtiness replied: “No, Love, you are all wet, you will dirty my boat!” Then Love saw Sadness and asked her for help, but Sadness answered: “No, Love, I am very sad and I need to be alone”. When Love saw Happiness, she asked her for help too, but Happiness was so happy that she could not even see Love. Suddenly, Love heard a voice saying: “Come Love, I will take you to my boat.” Love was so happy that forgot to ask who was helping. When they arrived on a new island, the one who helped her continued on the way and Love realized that she was indebted. She asked Knowledge who it was and Knowledge answered: “It was Time”. But why did Time help me?”, Love asked. Knowledge replied: “Because only Time can understand how great Love is!”.
